About us
"Our tears will dry, but our love will stay forever"
What we want and can do is to be there for you - in us you will find a partner who will competently support you in the difficult hours. Today, the funeral home employs 4 people in 11 communities in the canton of Zug. We accompany the deceased and their relatives with a lot of heart and empathy.
We accompany you in the difficult hours of a death and sensitively help you to choose the appropriate form of farewell, which is designed according to your wishes and needs.
During our personal conversations in our office in Cham, we take a lot of time for your concerns and to honour the soul of a deceased person - with beautiful actions, personal words and without rushing.
Many relatives who lose a loved one do not know that you may actively help with the funeral: be it in the care, dressing or embedding of a deceased person. This part can be an important part of processing grief.
"It is important to me to be there for the relatives around the clock and to implement their wishes in conversation."
I grew up in the middle of a large family in Egolzwil. My father was a carpenter and undertaker, so I soon followed in his footsteps. During my training as a carpenter, I was regularly taken along to help with funerals. So the honourable embedding of the deceased and the competent and sensitive support of relatives became a new challenge. It was my heart's desire to become a self-employed funeral director.
Through many intensive discussions with my wife Nicole, we founded Jöri Bestattungen GmbH together in 2017.
"It is important to me to be a competent and trustworthy contact person for the relatives."
Growing up in Hünenberg, I spent wonderful years actively participating in village life. Love made me change my place of residence and I moved to Egolzwil in the beautiful canton of Lucerne.
Nature and contact with people are very important to me and so I settled in very quickly.
My husband Toni, who as a trained carpenter had been called upon as an undertaker since his youth, awakened in me the interest in also accompanying the deceased.
Soon I accompanied him in a case of death and I became aware of how important the task of the undertaker is and what trust the relatives place in us to accompany the deceased on their last journey with honour.
In 2020, I decided to obtain the professional certificate of the Swiss Association of Undertakers and in 2021 the federal professional certificate of the Swiss Association of Undertakers.
My heartfelt wish to lovingly accompany the deceased and their relatives in my "old" homeland, the canton of Zug, makes me very happy and fills me with great pride.
